Sports Legendz

Many of our favorite sports provide great entertainment for the sheer enjoyment of watching excellent athletes competing. In many of us, that leads to choosing favorite athletes or favorite teams, either because of something we like about the athletic spirit they display, or more commonly the fact that they play in our home cities. So sometimes we want to bet on our home teams, and other times we think we see an advantage in some match-up, whether our favorites are involved or not. The object is to win your bet, and a sports betting blog is essential for the gambler.

Capital Preservation 19th November 2009, 05:34
I’ve been gambling on sports for many years. Okay, more than many years. How about half my lifetime? I’d rather not share with you how long of a period of time that is, but let’s just say it’s long enough, long enough that I started gambling decades before any sports betting blog was around. What’s unfortunate is that for the majority of that time I was always going for the home run when it came to sports betting. I always wanted to be ‘the man.’ I had this creepy desire to be the one to walk into a bar with a wad of cash from a recent win and have everyone ask me how I did it.

Funny how the world works, because now if I walked into a bar with a wad of cash, I’d be ignored. I guess that’s part of what age does to you. Now, the only glory I can really receive is on my sports betting blog. Come to think of it, where would I be without my sports betting blog? That I don’t know. What I do know is that whether it’s published in the national newspaper or any sports betting blog, I have figured something out, and it’s of great value. I just wish I had figured it out sooner.

The key to betting isn’t making a fortune, it’s bankroll preservation! It’s like anything else. You want to avoid your losses so you can stay in the game. This means to cut your losses when down and attack when ahead. Any numskull that reads a sports betting blog should be able to figure this out. Well, I’m one of those sports betting blog numskulls. What took me so long? That I don’t know, but what I do know is that the house will never crush me again.

Heding Your Bets 19th November 2009, 05:32
Some people call me a master, some people call me too conservative, and believe it or not, some people call me a jerk. Why? Because this is what people say when you’re a winner. They’re haters. They especially hate it when I post my winners on a sports betting blog or if they see my information on someone else’s sports betting blog. They know that means I’m gaining popularity. If these same haters were smart, they’d know to follow me. Then we could all party together and own the sports betting blog community. Okay, the sports betting blog community might be a little too big to own, but you know what I mean.

If you’d like to live in the lap of luxury then consider hedging your bets. That means you must look at all the information possible. Use an online site like sports.legendz.com or even some sports betting blogs for information on games. Then, when you see an opportunity, attack. If you don’t see an opportunity, remain patient.

What kind of opportunities am I referring to? Let’s say you’re looking at an NFL game – Chargers vs Raiders – and the Chargers are favored by 16 and the total is 40. In this scenario, if you take the Raiders plus the points and the over, you have very little chance of losing both. Of course, you have a great chance of splitting, but the point is that you have a better chance of winning both than losing both. This is a successful hedge bet. You don’t need any sports betting blogs to figure that out. For example, once the Raiders score 13 points, you can’t lose both. If it’s a low scoring game you will cover on the side. If the Chargers blow them out, excellent chance it goes over.Start heding to win.

Lead to Victory through Sportsbook 8th October 2009, 07:03
A sportsbook can lead to a good secondary income. Not only can a sportsbook lead to a good secondary income, but it can also help you enjoy the things that you love to do even more. The thing I am referring to is of course watching sports. Some games that are expected to be fairly competitive through a sportsbook like the Super Bowl with the Raiders squaring off against the Eagles don't always end up being that way so the people who thought the Eagles would hold the game to the point where it would be competitive throughout likely lost money through a sportsbook.

This was back in the day when Ron Jaworski was the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Jaworski would go on to have a successful broadcasting career with ESPN and also end up owning several golf courses. Jaworski also owns an Arena Football League team. You can also use a sportsbook for arena football. The Raiders coach for this Super Bowl was John Madden and I doubt John Madden paid much attention to a sportsbook, but he must realize he won some people a lot of money through a sportsbook on this Super Bowl day. Madden even went on to a wildly successful broadcasting career himself and had a video game even named after him that has sold very well.

I'm sure if there were a way to place bets upon which player would be more likely to lead their team to victory through a sportsbook in Madden NFL there will be people trying to place those wagers in the future. Football and Super Bowl bets are very commonly known as one of the most popular games to use a sportsbook for. It does not matter how lopsided people think the affair will be, they still want to wager on it and get on top of that gravy train.

How to Use Sportsbook Efficiently 8th October 2009, 07:01
A sportsbook can create great wealth for a person if used properly. In order to be successful at using a sportsbook the obvious point is that you have to know something about sports. This should not be a novel concept. A sportsbook could earn you a lot of money if you were able to correctly predict that George Foreman would have been able to defeat Michael Moorer to become the oldest world heavyweight champion in history. That same sportsbook could have earned you a lot of money as well if you are able to predict that Shannon Briggs would be able to defeat Foreman later on in Foreman's career.

A sportsbook can transcend sports and continents. People can use a sportsbook to place bets on European League Soccer and even bet on the exact time of when a goal is going to be scored. A sportsbook can be that exact when it comes to the bet that you place even on a sport that you may just be a casual fan of.

A sportsbook company grows and gains more popularity when it gives quicker payouts and those payouts include accurate numbers. If a sportsbook has a slow payout rate the chances of it being popular do lessen. You also want a sportsbook to be reporting accurate information on a game before you place a bet with the information given. You don't want the sportsbook to be claiming that Carlos Boozer dominates on the inside against a certain team when the truth is that he really struggles against them.

You also wouldn't want a sportsbook passing out faulty information about a player like Grant Hill struggling against a certain team when the truth is that he is fairly prolific in the statistics department against them. A sportsbook isn't likely to go into that kind of detail anyway; usually they just end up giving you the line for the game and not much else is needed.

Why Can't MLB Be More Like the NBA? 9th June 2009, 07:33
Baseball net fans know I am a traditionalist who has been against inter-league play and wild card teams. But hold the presses, [urlhttp://sports.legendz.com]baseball net[/url]! I'm now going to advocate that baseball be MORE like another sport.

In my wildest baseball net fantasies, I envision MLB Commissioner Bud Selig morphing into NBA Commissioner David Stern and pushing for an NBA-modeled salary cap. Baseball net fans realize that the players' union will only support a salary cap when pigs fly, but if sweetened with some Stern-inspired incentives, they may be spouting wings sooner than we think.

Baseball net knows that MLB's biggest problem is its lack of a level economic playing ground. Medium and small-market teams (e.g.,the Florida Marlins, several times) over have routinely unloaded high-salaried players in trades for far less than equal value, primarily minor league prospects, or simply lose them as free agents. Meanwhile, the same big media market teams ultimately end up with such stars as Alex Rodriguez, CC Sabathia, Mark Teixeira, Carlos Beltran, and Josh Beckett. Are these transactions any different than Oakland owner Charles Finley's selling Joe Rudi, Rollie Fingers, and Vida Blue during the 1976 pennant race?

Baseball net fans know that salary dumping never happens in the NBA. There, a cap has created salary slots that a team must match with players who make comparable salaries. For example, if a traded player's salary falls into a $10-20 million slot, total salaries of acquired players must match that total, or no less than 20%. In return, all NBA players get a fixed percentage of total gross team revenue at the end of each season.

This would be the ideal policy for MLB: a fair, practical plan that would level each team's playing field and provide enough incentives to compensate players in return. Baseball net should get behind this initiative.

When sports betting blogs go badly wrong 9th June 2009, 07:31
One of the most entertaining things in the world of sports gambling, at least for me, is watching people use sports blogs to bet on their games. There are people out there who don't know what they are doing, but they crave the action. When this is the case, they will trust almost anyone who is willing to give them a little bit of advice. All too often, these people end up following blogs that have no chance of helping them. This is what happens when sports betting blogs can wrong.

Sports betting blogs and the home team bias
Have you ever seen one of those sports betting blogs and just known right away that the person writing the blog is incredibly biased towards his hometown team. You know the type of guy that I'm talking about. He tries to seem as if he is fair and balanced, but he picks his team almost every time. He might even make comments like, "I never pick my own team to win," when you know that this just is not true. More times than not, these homers have good intentions, but they can lead you astray if you follow their sports betting blogs. The better option here is to listen to the information that they have and take it for what it is.

Sports betting blogs that run into traps
There are some people who put out sports betting blogs who probably know a lot about sports, but they have no business talking about sports gambling. It's like me trying to write about the medical field, when really I have nothing to add there. More times than not, these are the people who don't get the fact that the sportsbooks are trying to trick you. They see the "obvious" game and tout it as something like a lock, when we all know that such a term is almost always associated with the loser of the year.
